Job Summary:
As a Junior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of our company’s IT systems and applications. Allica Bank – Required Qualifications & Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in software development or IT project management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Software Development:
- Assist in designing, coding, and testing software applications based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and enhancements.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing systems and propose solutions.
System Integration:
- Participate in integrating various IT systems and applications to ensure seamless functionality.
- Develop APIs and scripts to automate processes and improve system efficiency.
Database Management:
- Support database administration tasks, including data migration, backup, and recovery.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
Project Support:
- Contribute to IT projects by providing technical expertise and assisting in project planning and execution.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create technical documentation for software applications, APIs, and system configurations.
- Generate reports on project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure that software solutions meet quality standards and functional requirements.
